MedOffice Resources was developed to provide resources and development services to medical office staff in the New York State area.

The founder of MedOffice Resources, Linda Smith, has had over 30 years of experience, in the healthcare industry as a business manager. Throughout that time, the healthcare industry has gone through dramatic changes. Medical offices have experienced reduced reimbursements for services and an ever-increasing focus on regulatory guidelines and compliance. Simultaneously, the need for trained staff, and resources to deal with reimbursement cuts and compliance issues have increased. Local healthcare facilities, practices, providers and office staff have been utilizing the services of MedOffice Resources for the past 10 years to strengthen their staff’s skills and strengthen their organizations.

Linda is a “Certified Professional Coder” (CPC). She has also earned the credentials of "E/M Specialist" (CEMC) and is an approved "Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor" (CPC-I) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Linda is a frequent presenter at many local AAPC Chapter events.

Linda also holds the credentials of “Professional Coding Specialist (PCS) through the American College of Medical Coding Specialists and “Certified Medical Billing Specialist” (CMBS) through the Medical Association of Billers.

Linda provides training privately to local organizations and is an instructor with various business and technical schools. She and her associates provide training in the areas of medical ethics, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical coding and billing. They provide continuing education workshops for the organizations mentioned above.

She is a member of the Medical Education and Information Association (MEDIA) and serves on National Government Services (NGS) Provider Outreach and Education Advisory Group.

Linda’s trainings and articles have been published by national magazine and textbook publishers.
